Puget Sound Partnership Organizing Conference
Meeting held on 30 January 2008 at the Jamestown S’Klallam tribal center to Organize activities relating to Governor Gregoire’s effort to clean-up the Strait and Puget Sound by 2020.
This Conference had the following significant goals:
Identify current/on-going efforts
Review Draft Inventory of efforts by various groups and governmental activities
Cooperatively Identify Knowledge Gaps
Review Action Agenda Spreadsheets submitted by variour activities (including Dry Creek Coalition)
Establish Strait Action area Work Group for working meeting on 7 March 2008 at the Jamestown Tribal center.
Commissioner Tharinger is chairing the work effort for Clallam and a portion of Jefferson County. The Strait and Puget Sound area is divided into distinct districts of action. This effort is headed for consolidation by the Puget Sound Partnership (PSP) and submission of a plan to the Legislature by mid-September 2008.
Any citizen of Clallam County can attend the Workgroup session on 7 March 2008 at the Jamestown Tribal center.
